Antarctic Peninsula

Clar Nisheoinin (Jennings) (Dec 2008 - Cruise on Aleksey Maryshev)
The cabin on the ship was better than I had expected.

The staff were all cheerful, friendly, helpful and enhanced the experience greatly.

The food was amazing. An unbelievable high standard considering that we were aboard a ship.

What a fantastic trip! Much of the time it seemed like we were on a totally different planet - that landscape is unbelievable. The ship's crew and staff are incomparable, and I'll never be able to beat this vacation. Trip of a lifetime - absolutely fantastic - thanks so much for helping us take it.

We had great support throughout the planning of the trip. Jonathan helped in the initial discussion and decision making, then Jenny continued with booking flights and answering our many and varied questions. We also appreciated the phone call from your representative once we were back in Ushuaia. The pre-departure information concerning clothing, equipment, etc. was very informative and useful.

Overall this tour was excellent from the time we boarded to when we embarked. Troels Jacobsen and his team were very good and we appreciated being able to wander within the limits set, and have the opportunity to return to the ship early if need be, although we never did. We were usually one of the last people to return to the zodiacs each day. Troels met us on shore as our zodiac arrived and explained the limits of the landing, what to observe, and when to head back. He organized a full program for us ...

The office support before we left was excellent. You addressed our questions, no matter how minor they may have seemed. The trip itself - Amazing! Wonderful! All we'd hoped! The Aleksey Maryshev was just right for us and well designed to allow for comfort in a minimum of space. The Russian crew seemed shy, but all were very kind, helpful and gracious. The food on the ship was excellent. It was amazing what they could do in a tiny galley!
