Enjoy all the must-see sights of Alaska on this all-encompassing itinerary. Spend 4 full nights within the boundaries of Denali National Park. Cruise the breathtaking waters of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Watch whales feeding in Frederick Sound and discover colorful towns from Sitka to Norwegian-flavored Petersburg.

Day 1 : Arrive in Fairbanks

Transfer from the airport to your Fairbanks hotel for a wine and cheese reception. Overnight at your Fairbanks hotel.

Day 2 : Fairbanks Sightseeing

Today’s activities include an authentic riverboat experience on the Chena River or a visit to the home and kennel of Alaskan legend Mary Shields, and a city tour with admission to the University of Alaska’s Museum of the North. Dinner and overnight at a Fairbanks hotel. An optional activity is a flight above the
Arctic Circle, barely 125 miles away. BLD

Day 3 : Fairbanks to North Face Lodge

Board a deluxe domed railcar to Denali, with breakfast included onboard. Enjoy sweeping views on all sides as you approach the Alaska Range. Board a
bus to North Face Lodge, deep in the heart of Denali National Park. BD

Days 4-6 : Denali Exploration

Experience the Denali that most never will — 3 full nights within the expansive park boundary. All meals are included at North Face Lodge as you dine family-style in relaxed comfort with your companions. BLD

Day 7 : Denali to Anchorage via Rail

Enjoy your final panoramas of Denali as you transfer to the rail station via bus. Board a deluxe domed railcar to travel south to Anchorage, with lunch and dinner onboard the train. Overnight at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa. BLD

Day 8 : Fly Anchorage to Juneau

In the morning enjoy Anchorage sightseeing and a visit to the Anchorage Museum before you transfer to the Anchorage airport for your included flight
to Juneau. Spend the day exploring Juneau on your own. Overnight at a Juneau hotel. B

Day 9 : Depart Juneau

Spend the day exploring Juneau before boarding your vessel. Many exciting excursions and activities are available. Our concierge service is available for your use. D

Day 10 : Tracy Arm and Frederick Sound

Cruise under Tracy Arm’s sheer 1,500-foot vertical cliffs toward the twin Sawyer Glaciers. Humpback whales abound in Frederick Sound. BLD

Day 11 : Wrangell / Wrangell Narrows / Petersburg

Wrangell is the only Alaskan town to have existed
under four nations: Tlingit, Russian, British and American. You’ll see this rich history reflected in your tour of the Wrangell Museum. A passage through picturesque Wrangell Narrows -- known as “Christmas Tree Lane” for its many lights and buoys — takes you to the village of Petersburg, a true Alaska fishing town. Watch as the Leikarring Dancers perform in the Sons of Norway Hall. Explore wilderness waterways around Petersburg. BLD

Day 12 : Wilderness Cruising

Your Captain will determine the best spots to cruise to today based on the local conditions. Weather permitting, explore by inflatable excursion craft. BLD

Day 13 : Sitka

Only small ships can negotiate Peril Strait and Sergius Narrows, the “inside” route to Sitka on Baranof Island. Keep an eye out for playful otters, Sitka black-tailed deer and bald eagles. A walk through Sitka’s National Historic Park reveals towering totems keeping watch over the temperate rainforest. Enjoy a private Tlingit Native dance performance. BLD

Day 14 : Icy Strait

Watch for gentle humpbacks as they feast on small fish and tiny krill churned by upwelling currents from the Pacific Ocean. Watch for behaviors such as spouting, sounding, breaching, lobtailing, flipper-slapping and lunge feeding. You may see rare bubble feeding if you’re very lucky. The coves and inlets offer enticing opportunities to get out and explore by inflatable craft. Be sure to keep watch for Steller’s sea lions, orcas, harbor seals and porpoise. BLD

Day 15 : Juneau

Disembark in Juneau this morning, and transfer to the airport for your flight home. B

The Spirit of Yorktown has a year-round cruising schedule that takes her as far north as Alaska and south, through the Panama Canal to the Carribean.

The decor is sleek, stylish, and quietly elegant with light wood accents and artistically etched glass. The Observation Lounge features expansive picture windows, a video and lending library, plus cozy banquettes and conversation circles for getting to know your fellow travelers.

Every stateroom features a wide picture window or porthole, private facilities, writing desk and ample storage. And when it's time to go outside, guests enjoy generous outside space on three decks.

Measuring 257 feet long, 43 feet wide, and with a draft of just eight feet, the Yorktown Clipper was specifically designed for cruising in coastal waters; the ship's easy maneuverability and shallow draft enable exploration of secluded waterways beyond the reach of bigger ships. A fleet of motorized landing craft can be launched in minutes for spontaneous landings on small islands and deserted beaches.

The Yorktown Clipper was built in 1988 in Green Cove Springs, Florida, by American craftsmen. Power is provided by two Detroit diesel propulsion engines rated approximately 900 SHP each, and maneuverability is increased by a 300 HP bowthruster. This ship is equipped with an Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System (ECPINS), which combines navigational data on one screen and meets the stringent requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). She was one of the first cruise ships to be equipped with this advanced system.

A 120 sq. ft. Staterooms feature two twin beds, in-room controlled air conditioning, radio, locking drawer, hairdryer and portholes.	AA 130 sq. ft. AA staterooms feature two twin beds, in-room controlled air conditioning, writing desk, radio, locking drawer, hairdryer and picture window.
AAA 157 sq. ft. AAA staterooms feature two twin beds, in-room controlled air conditioning, writing desk, radio, locking drawer, hairdryer and picture window or portholes. Cabins 24, 25, 26, 33, 34, 35 and 36 can accommodate triples.	Deluxe 233 sq. ft. Deluxe staterooms feature two twin beds, in-room controlled air conditioning, writing desk, radio, locking drawer, hairdryer and one or two picture windows. Cabins L27, L28, and P60 can convert to a queen bed and can accommodate triples.
Balcony Balcony staterooms feature queen beds, writing desk, hair dryer, under-counter refrigerator, large picture windows and walk-out balcony with privacy louvers between adjacent cabins.
