Richard Walker (Cachiccata Trek, Jun 2010)
I can't say enough about the guides. We had Rollie only for one day and he was excellent. I enjoyed his passion for the Inca culture. Santiago was really great. Very organized, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun! He was very dedicated to use enjoying the trip and put in extra effort for whatever we needed. I really enjoyed his passion for the Inca culture and his knowledge of all the different sites we visited. The porters, cook and assistant cook were very friendly and helpful. The seven Lamas were definitely unexpected and very fun!! A highlight for me was cooking and eating together with the porters and cooks the last night of the trek. It was very fun! It felt like we were able to connect a little bit with these guys who helped us so much during the trek. I almost wish there was more of that during the trek. The hot water and tea in our tent in the morning was way beyond my expectations.
I didn't know what to expect beyond going to Machu Picchu. The accomodations and overall organization were really great. While touring Cusco I was so appreciative of the small group we had. I saw so many tour groups with 20 or 30 people and here we were with 4 plus our guide! I loved seeing the Peruvian countryside and the people there and was glad we didn't spend a lot of time in cities although the few days we spent in Cusco were great. Inti Raymi was very ... Read All
William Digioia (Cruise on Manatee, May 2010)
This is the 5th time I have been to the Amazon Rain Forest. The previous 4 times I stayed in Jungle lodges. This was my first time on a boat in the Amazon and the Manatee was very cool!! As the Boat Manager told me they are going to introduce a new boat in the future with better more up-scale rooms which I think would be great. The rooms were good but I think a more up-scale version would be a big plus. The tour was great because it had a great mixture of animal viewing (I saw Anaconda, Caiman, Sloth, Monkeys, PArrots, Toucans, etc) as well as Cultural experience in which we visited several indigenous villages.
Elisa Harvey (Belize Explorer, Mar 2010)
The whole trip from start to finish was wonderful. It felt like a custom trip for just our family. Even though we made the plans to go relatively last minute, the trip went without a hitch. We loved every minute of it and would love to go back. I highly recommend it!
Susan Cortz (Adventure Pacifica, Mar 2010)
This trip was an excellent family adventure. We were very impressed with all of our accommodations and tour providers. I will highly recommend Adventure-Life to all of our family and friends.
Sibyl Day (Patagonia Panorama, Mar 2010)
Based on our experience, if we were going to do a tour in South America or Latin America again, we would definitely use Adventure Life. We were not quite sure what to expect, but we were blown away by the beauty of the region as well as the quality of the tour guides and everything (sleeping arrangements, bathroom, food, staff) at the EcoCamp overall.
Apollinaria Pankiw (Argentina Glacier Adventure + Iguazu Falls + Peninsula Valdes, Feb 2010)
Overall I would rate this tour company 10/10. Our trip included three segments back to back ... and considering how challenged some parts of Argentina are for infrastructure I am thoroughly impressed with the flawless coordination of our trip, the superb quality of our guides, and the completeness of the attention we received by the guides during our travels. The trip could not have been better!!
Excellent work Adventure Life! Thanks!
Terry Hoffman (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Feb 2010)
I loved this trip! Adventure Life was highly recommended to me by a colleague, and I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. I had a lot of questions but all of the information I got ahead of time helped me feel prepared and relaxed when I got to Argentina. As a solo traveler I was also pleased to feel so welcome and included by the other travelers and all of the guides. I met some amazing new friends and thought our hiking guide Pedro was exceptional. The Patagonian mountains and glaciers were stunning - truly breathtaking. Everything about this trip exceeded my expectations.
Davis Federspiel (Galapagos Multisport, Feb 2010)
It was a trip of a lifetime! Adventure Life has the system down. The trip was extremely organized. Each day had a specific agenda and goal to accomplish. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The people on the islands all seemed so happy and excited to see us. I had no idea about the fun towns on the islands as well how important tourism was for the preservation of the islands. Couldn't beat the food! So fresh and delicious. There was a great variety as well. Couldn't ask for a better guide in Quito or the Galapagos! Having an English speaking guide in Isabella definitely helped answer everyone's questions, but it wasn't always needed.
It was an eye opening trip and I can't wait for the next trip. It has definitely sparked my interest in traveling and I would recommend Adventure Life to anyone!
Stacy Scholder (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2010)
We loved this trip! Back in MN now, we're longing for Hamanasi. The guides were FABULOUS - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The Hamanasi Resort is a little magical spot, with a friendly, knowledgeable staff with bright, beautiful personalities. The level of service at Hamanasi was incredible. I really enjoyed the personal, open style of the staff there. I felt part of a big, supportive family. The chef, Sheridan, is a magic woman! I was thrilled to talk with her and some of her staff, expressing my appreciation for their culinary creations. This trip was truly special - the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The resort's commitment to the local Hopkins community is clear, as most of the staff are from Hopkins, and the resort sponsors programs for both the people and companion animals of the community. It felt good to know my support was not only for my own enjoyment, but also for the benefit of the community. I found Adventure Life through a fluke and am now hooked. Can't wait for my next adventure!
Anita Jensen (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2010)
As always, Adventure Life went above and beyond to plan our trip for the places and dates we needed.
Pooks Hill was EXCELLENT! An amazing place with wonderful hosts that made us welcome and saw to our every need. Hamanasi was also wonderful but was a little more "resorty".
Our guides were very good and always knowledgeable about their country.
Noah Coslov (Adventure Pacifica, Dec 2009)
With so much to see and do, all the guide books in the world wouldn't have allowed anyone to experience Costa Rica the way Adventure Life did.
Lisa Newton (Awesome Argentina, Dec 2009)
This was, for both my husband and me, one of our favorite trips! It was a fairly last minute decision to go to Argentina for the holidays, and we knew almost nothing about what to expect. We were both thoroughly impressed with how everything worked out exactly. We always knew who to call if anything didn't work, but people were always on time, with all our information. We loved every place we went: Tierra del Fuego National Park, The Penguin island near Ushuaia, Glaciers National Park in El Calafate, and the Tango Show at Esquivel Carlos Cardel were my personal highlights. I would highly, highly recommend Adventure Life to anyone.
Michael Boone (El Calafate Extension + Patagonia Wildlife Safari, Dec 2009)
Simply the best trip I have ever been on. Adventure Life took all the headache and stress out of planning a trip to Patagonia. All I had to do was pack my bags and get on the airplane. Adventure Life took care of the details.
Ashley Boone (El Calafate Extension + Patagonia Wildlife Safari, Dec 2009)
We had a vision for what our vacation would be but Adventure Life really made it come to fruition in ways we never could have done on our own. We were amazed at how much we were able to pack in to our time there and how smoothly everything went, it was the best vacation either of us have ever been on! Our guides were exceptional! Loved the guides at the Eco Camp especially and each person in charge of transfers did a great job and kept us informed.
Catherine James Rose (Adventure Pacifica, Dec 2009)
Thank you again for a perfect vacation Adventure Life! This was the second time traveling with your company and you really made Costa Rica a very special experience.
Kristi Delynko (Adventure Pacifica, Dec 2009)
Our experience was absolutely fantastic! We had so many opportunities to learn from our guides and to explore the areas on our own.
Christie Batterman-Jordan (Cruise on Millennium, Sep 2009)
Thank you, Adventure Life! Your friendly and helpful staff did everything possible to make my arrangements practical and comfortable.
Several people on my tour had used Adventure Life before, and I can now see why. Especially for a woman traveling alone, flying off to a new country, it was great knowing that Adventure Life was there to support me. Thank you for everything!
Scot McClellan (Machu Picchu by Train Tour, Jul 2009)
The tour was among the best experiences I have had when travelling. It was active, cultural, and eye-opening. Beyond being enjoyable, the trip touched the soul of both my wife and myself.
The agents at Adventure Life worked with us as we customized our itinerary to meet our wishes. Adventure Life was supportive throughout the process.
Every lodging we stayed at was excellent!
Our guide was Marco Palomino Tocre. Marco was an exceptional guide who was extremely enthusiastic throughout the trip. His passion and knowledge made the trip a truly exciting experience. We learned so much from him.
We ate primarily at lodges, hotels, and restaurants. We had great food throughout. In Cusco, Marco made recommendations that were excellent.
Patricia Sasscer (Finch Bay EcoHotel, May 2009)
I cannot say enough about how well this trip was organized. Our group of 11 was able to stay together in a very relaxed manner, and our needs were always taken care of in a friendly and congenial way. My traveling companion, who shared a room with me commented that it was the best vacation she had ever taken. Many thanks to Adventure Life for making our trip such a pleasure!
April Marlow (Islands and Incas + Machu Picchu by Train Tour + Cruise on Beagle, May 2009)
We loved them all! Sanctuary Lodge was great, mainly because of the location, but also the service and food was outstanding. But we also loved Pakaritampu in Ollantaytambo. What a magical place! Beautiful grounds with 3 resident llamas and view of the Inca fortress. And the Mansion Del Angel in Quito is like a Victorian dollhouse! So cute, with roses and roses petals all over. The Beagle is a beautiful ship. We did not see another ship that we would have rather been on. And with only 12 passengers, it was just perfect. We would not have liked to be herded around like the bigger boats.
You were great. When our flight was delayed leaving Cuzco and we missed our flight to Quito, we ended up with 6 hours in Lima. I called your rep and she sent a van for us so we could explore Lima instead of sitting at the airport. Likewise, when we caught an earlier flight from the Galapagos, and ended up in Quito 3 hours early, I called your rep in Quito and she was there in 15 mins with a ride to our hotel, and information on what to do and where to eat. We were all very impressed with their helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism.
We were totally impressed with Marco Palomino. His knowledge is incredible and we learned a lot from him. But also his manner and style was what made the trip. We could not have had a better guide, period. On the Beagle, our naturalist ... Read All
